Welcome to Hell, Weezos

Welcome to hell. Some of you might be confused, as you likely came from Weezo.cc or perhaps LittleGlassVial.com. Now you’re here on TheWired.info, so I guess it’s only fair I explain what the hell this place is.

Well, first off, let’s break down what this site is. TheWired.info is my Linux-themed blog where I talk about Linux, coding, open source, and fediverse projects.

Now for the people here from Matrix chat federation who saw some random user on Weezo.cc, let me explain what the hell a Weezo is.

Weezo is a slang term and insult from the RG33 YouTube channel, based off Chainsaw Man Part 2, where Asa and the main character Denji are on a date at his apartment and his adopted sister Nayuta loses her mind that Asa has awful taste in music.

And I needed something short, easy to remember, and quick to type.

Let’s be real though: when I am the only person on Weezo.cc, it didn’t even take up that much space at all. Some might ask why not just stick with Discord. Well, the simple fact of the matter is Discord keeps losing people’s personal info and their IDs, and the last thing I want to deal with is some data breach and having to fight to get my credit fixed.

Now I am not a fan of Weezer myself. Hell, I think the only song by them I even really know is their cover of “Rainbow Connection,” which was a Muppet song, along with the fact that Weezer did a cover of Toto’s iconic “Africa” featuring “Weird Al” Yankovic in the music video. But other than that, it was just a meme domain and URL.

As for the other domain, that being LittleGlassVial.com, that’s a whole other story.

Now if you were a goth kid, a cyberpunk fan, a horror junkie, or even just a weird theatre kid, there was one thing we all knew:

“Zydrate comes in a little glass vial
And the little glass vial goes into the gun like a battery
And the Zydrate gun goes somewhere against your anatomy
And when the gun goes off, it sparks, and you’re ready for surgery”

So with me being known as Zydrate on DEFCON Social and Z/Zydrate on the Church of the SubGenius mailing list, it was only fitting that when I saw the domain LittleGlassVial was free, I had to take it.

For those who are just reading this and want to scream “What in the holy hell are you blathering about,” well, my uncultured reader, I will explain. Slow down, please.

In the late 1990s, two friends Terrance Zdunich and Darren Gordon Smith began touring a ten minute rock opera titled “The Necromerchant’s Debt” around the LA club scene.

The plot of “The Necromerchant’s Debt” in their own words was summarized as:

“In this tale of horror and comedy set in the not-so-distant future, a graverobber seals his fate with a genetic repo man.”

Well, it took off like gangbusters, but sadly Terrance and Gordon, who I’ll be referencing for the rest of this article as such or it’ll get too confusing, met another Darren fresh out of Full Sail University: Darren Lynn Bousman, who would direct the stage play, then only called “REPO!” At the early stages before it became the film “Repo! The Genetic Opera.” You can read more about it in my article “Goth Opera, Blood Saga: So Repo is Returning to Cinemas?” over on LOKZ.net.

So if you are here to stay, or passing through wondering who the hell that person you met on Matrix was, or the nerd at some event, well, that was me and I welcome you to TheWired.info.
