TF2, CalDav & PlanPlus [E-Sports Calendar Part 2]

So good news, bad news about this project.

Good news, I fixed some of the parsing issues like new line creation but at the same time somehow I have events removing themselves and I’m not sure what is causing this issue.

So far it was only one event and I was already at my desk to watch the event so I saw it happen live.

Was RGL Traditional Sixes Season 21: Invite event with Mafia vs DuoQueue playing tonight, which was a great match but now I am wondering if there is some weird CalDAV issue I am having since I have never had this problem before where events just disappear.

But so far the parser is working and I was able to make it function with the Liquipedia API limits of 1 Request per Hour where it cycles through the not so huge games.

I will likely have a better update this week if this glitch keeps happening but so far it’s nice to have the Franklin Planner method again for my E-Sports data, not just movies, events, concerts, meetings and that.

I’ve had a few people find it so odd that I am trying so hard to keep a PlanPlus style system working and to that I say, it works for me and my ADHD.

Some might also wonder if I am a Dudeist and Subgenius, why would I care so much about planning my day? Well, simple, it makes it so I can relax and not be going insane and feel overwhelmed or like I am drowning, so I block off key things I can’t miss.

I mean if not for being able to plan out my day I would have missed back on October 1st the drop of the final “Sermon” of Mr. Storm and Mr. Tender. Somehow with me being able to plan things out I was able to show up as things were being uploaded and got first listen on multiple tracks and second and third…you get the point.

Now where was I? Oh right, the E-Sports part of my planner software.

I am currently looking into options to make it so the e-sports events I add are blocked off in a way I can’t get a meeting invite for the set times I state.

Perhaps an MS Exchange layer or extension? I’m still brainstorming this.

As for now, tomorrow I’ve got a few StarCraft events I set as watching
